Consultant Anaesthesiologist & Intensivist
Dr. Sagar G C is a highly qualified Consultant in Anaesthesia & Critical Care with extensive experience in anaesthesia, intensive care, paediatric and neonatal anaesthesia, obstetric anaesthesia, and acute pain management.
He completed his MBBS from JJM Medical College, Davangere, under RGUHS, and subsequently pursued his MD in Anaesthesia from AIMS, Bellur, under RGUHS. With professional experience spanning anaesthesia and critical care, he has worked across reputed institutions including SIMSRC and Aster Group hospitals.
Dr. Sagar has a special interest in Paediatric and Neonatal Anaesthesia, with experience in managing anaesthesia for term, preterm and low-birth-weight babies undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. He has been actively involved in providing anaesthesia care for children undergoing complex surgeries, daycare procedures and epidural pain management.
He has also been involved in cleft lip and cleft palate corrective surgeries, including charity surgical camps organized in association with NGOs. His experience extends to providing anaesthesia support for children, including children with special needs, undergoing radiological and oncological procedures such as CT, MRI, interventional radiology and radiotherapy.
His other areas of clinical interest include obstetric anaesthesia, particularly for high-risk pregnancies such as severe pregnancy-induced hypertension and antepartum haemorrhage, as well as labour analgesia.
Dr. Sagar has received training in acute pain management, including ultrasound-guided nerve blocks. He also has extensive experience in critical care and ICU management, including the management of critically ill patients requiring multiple-organ support and bedside tracheostomy.
He is well-versed in various advanced anaesthesia and critical care procedures, including invasive monitoring, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and difficult airway management.
